Organizational Help
Admit it, we all need help keeping up with all the resources that we have found. This blog will help a bit, but there are personal organizers out there that we all should take advantage of. I really like a few of the free versions that are online.
Wakelet.com - Free - Better than a blog, but organized similar. Share content, polls, photos, and other sites like padlet. great resource.
Pathbrite.com - Free - Great portfolio. LMS as well as Organizational tool is a bit harder to learn, but ESL worked well with Computer Literacy class.
Best part, you can assign, students can upload their work, and have a portfolio of their work that is very visually stimulating.
Milanote.com - Free and subscription - Great way to organize a project or share information with students, I like it because it is visually stimulating, very easy to use.
Live Binders~ this is a great way to store all those websites that you use every day, you can make your binders public, keep them private, or a combination of both. I use one of my binders for students to be able to find resources quickly. This is the binder for the GED computer class, it is set to have a code to get to it~ http://www.livebinders.com/play/play_shared_binder/2173655?play_view=play (access code is Deadrick203)

- Create a substitute teacher folder or binder early in the year. Use it to file class lists, fire drill rules, seating charts, times and schedule change information, and a general plan for the day for substitutes to follow. You might also include the names and numbers of teachers' aides, helpful teachers, office procedures, and classroom rules and policies.
- Provide substitutes with class subject information. Include notes on students to assist in certain areas.
- Label your cabinets. Itemize the contents of each cabinet so that substitutes can easily find any supplies or materials they need.
